Amazon SPN Solution Partner: What the Network Is and How to Work with an SPN Member Team

Amazon SPN (Service Provider Network) is the network where Amazon lists service providers it has approved itself. Export Partners is part of this network; our listing under Account Management is live on Amazon. The first half of this article explains what the network is and how it is used; the second half covers what working with a team inside the network, that is, with us, means in practice: which tasks we take on, how the process works, and which sellers it suits.

What is Amazon SPN?

The Service Provider Network is the network where Amazon puts companies that serve sellers through qualification steps and lists them by service category. Providers appear under categories such as catalog and listings, advertising management, logistics and FBA prep, translation and localization, tax and accounting, and account management. Sellers choose a company in the category that fits their needs from the provider list inside Seller Central.

Service providers apply to the network, not sellers. Not everyone who offers Amazon services is part of it; to join, a provider has to pass Amazon's qualification steps and be approved category by category. This approval does not guarantee results; it means the provider's identity has been verified by Amazon.

What can working with an SPN team change?

The difference we see in practice shows up here: when an account is suspended, a listing is deactivated, or an appeal is needed on the Brand Registry side (Amazon's brand program), handling the process in the language Amazon expects and through the right channel saves time. From the outside these look like small details; for an account whose sales have stopped, they can decide how many days it takes.

In terms of work quality, there is no automatic difference between an SPN member team and an independent agency; there are independent teams that do good work too. The difference is that the provider's identity is verified and its service category is approved, which can make it easier to find a point of contact when a problem comes up.

Export Partners' Amazon service scope

The work we handle on Amazon falls under four headings. They do not have to be taken together; we can also move step by step depending on the stage the seller is at.

AreaScope
Account setupOpening the Seller Central (Amazon seller dashboard) account, the Tax Interview (the step where you provide tax information to Amazon), and setting up a U.S. company and EIN if needed
Products and listingsCategory selection, listing copy and image planning, A+ content, variation structure, Brand Registry application
FBA operationsShipment planning, labeling, warehouse check-in tracking, inventory management, return and lost-inventory cases
PPC and growthCampaign setup, keyword structure, bid management, handling the launch period and the period after it separately

Our scope is not limited to the U.S.; we work under the same headings in the Amazon Germany and UK marketplaces as well. If the product to be sold on Amazon is food, a supplement or a cosmetic, part of the work also involves U.S. compliance: we can handle FDA facility registration, US Agent (the U.S. representative the FDA contacts) and labeling within the same team, which means you do not have to carry information between two separate providers. For the general framework, see our Amazon sales and operations services.

How we work

The process moves in four steps, and the first step is free.

1. Reviewing the current situation

If an account exists, we review the current listing structure, performance metrics and any open cases through Seller Central. If there is no account, we look at the product's competition in the target marketplace and the category requirements. At this stage we also tell you whether the work is feasible; if we think the budget will not be enough in a highly competitive category, we say so in writing from the start.

2. Defining the scope in writing

Which areas stay with us and which stay with you is put in writing. Timeline and fees are clarified at this stage. Work outside the scope is written down too, so there are no surprises later.

3. Setup

The account, listings, brand and, if needed, compliance are set up in order. The length of this stage depends on the product; it can take longer for products that require brand or compliance documents.

4. Management and reporting

After launch, PPC, inventory and performance metrics are tracked on a regular basis. Reporting is monthly and comes with numbers and a clear account of what was done.

Who is it for?

This service was built for manufacturers and brands that want to enter Amazon under their own brand. Companies that make their own products or use contract manufacturing, and that want to build their own listing pages, tend to see the best results.

Two other situations are worth stating clearly. For sellers who want a single small shipment or only want to clear inventory, this setup is usually too heavy. Sellers working on a reseller model cannot use Brand Registry, so the scope becomes narrower in that case.

How do you choose an SPN provider in Seller Central?

  1. In Seller Central, open the “Service Provider Network” tab.
  2. Select the service category you need: account management, advertising, listing or logistics.
  3. Open providers from the list and review their profile details and seller reviews; where possible, choose a provider that has worked in your industry.
  4. Request a quote and read the scope, term and cancellation terms in the agreement. Some services are one-time, others run as a monthly subscription.

Starting with a single category is usually the healthier choice for most sellers; focusing on the most pressing need and moving forward with reporting and feedback tends to work better than buying every service at once.

Frequently asked questions

What is Amazon SPN?

The Service Provider Network is Amazon’s network of approved service providers. Providers go through qualification steps for each service category, and their listings appear inside Seller Central.

What is the difference between an SPN member team and an independent agency?

There is no automatic difference in the quality of the work. The difference is that the provider’s identity has been verified by Amazon and its service category is approved; this can help speed things up in situations such as an account or listing suspension.

Can sellers apply to the SPN network?

No. Service providers apply to the network, not sellers. On the seller side, the step is to choose a provider in the right category from the provider list inside Seller Central.

Are the service packages fixed?

No. The scope is written in the second step and can narrow or widen depending on the seller’s stage. For a seller whose account is already set up, the setup step drops out and only the listing and PPC work remains.
