Selling on Amazon
Amazon services cover everything a manufacturer or brand needs to start selling on Amazon under its own brand (private label): setting up the seller account, listing the products, Brand Registry, FBA shipments and advertising (PPC) management, all handled by a specialist team. Export Partners is an Amazon SPN (Service Provider Network) verified service provider that runs this work for manufacturers on Amazon US, Germany and the UK.
Who is the Amazon service a good fit for?
This service is built for manufacturers and brands whose product is ready and who want to sell consistently on Amazon US, Canada, the UK or the European marketplaces. If the product or target market is not yet defined, we discuss those two topics first; our Amazon private label starter guide is a good first step.
Our Amazon service starts with store setup: the Seller Central account, the Tax Interview and, where needed, a U.S. company; then come listing strategy, Brand Registry, the FBA shipment plan and PPC management. Export Partners is an Amazon SPN (Service Provider Network) verified service provider, so the process runs through the channel and in the language Amazon expects.
Which marketplaces, which registrations
On the U.S. side, for food, cosmetics and supplements, FDA facility registration, U.S. Agent and label compliance are handled by the same team. In Europe, EORI, German VAT, LUCID and GPSR for Amazon Germany, and a UK company and VAT registration for the UK, are completed before shipping. The Amazon FBA service side covers the shipment plan, labeling, warehouse check-in tracking and inventory management.
What the service includes and what it does not
The scope is put in writing at the second meeting: which items are ours, which are yours, the timeline and the fee. Manufacturing the product is not part of the service; trademark registration and company formation abroad are separate services and can be added from the same team when needed. The first meeting is free; we review where you stand and write up a scope proposal.

Amazon service by marketplace: US, Germany, UK
Each marketplace has its own registration order: in the U.S., company, trademark and FBA; in Germany, EORI, VAT, LUCID and GPSR; in the UK, UK VAT, GB EORI and a responsible person. Each country page shows scope, timeline and a quote form; packages are on a single page.
We summarized how the Amazon private label process works in a short video. We explain which step comes when, from product selection to launch, and which items drive the budget. Private Label Package: One End-to-End Service
What the private label package covers
Amazon private label means selling a product made by a manufacturer on Amazon under your own brand and packaging. Sales are not driven by a single step but by the steps running in the right order and under one roof. Our Amazon private label service covers all of the steps below in one package:
- Product and marketplace selection: which product can sell in the U.S., Germany or the UK, with competition and pricing analysis
- Supplier and samples: manufacturer selection, sample evaluation, packaging
- Trademark registration and Brand Registry: USPTO filing in the U.S., EUIPO filing in Europe
- Compliance and labeling: FDA registration, label review for food and cosmetics; LUCID and GPSR in Germany
- Listing and content: keyword research, title, images, A+ content
- FBA shipment: labeling, carton plan, customs and warehouse check-in
- Launch and advertising: Vine, coupons, PPC campaigns and management of the first 90 days
You can take the full package or only the steps you need, separately. The details of each step are in the roadmap below.

Amazon Private Label Roadmap
The first stage of Amazon private label process management is settling on a potential product that can capture organic sales on Amazon and gain an early foothold in a competitive market. This involves analyzing the market, the relevant category and subcategory to find products with relatively high demand and relatively low competition. At this stage we report on essential steps such as competitor analysis, profit margin analysis for your product and keyword analysis.
We report the cost items in the Amazon sales process, map out a long-term roadmap, and lay out potential obstacles and the company's strengths in a rational way, along with any differentiation your product may need to increase sales.
At the stage that follows production, or runs in parallel with it, the product needs Brand Registry in an Amazon catalog. At this point we start the trademark process for the product and complete your Brand Registry (Amazon Brand Registry) in the Amazon catalog.
The step after brand registration is adding the product listing to Amazon. This stage covers building the product page and optimizing the title, description and search terms (SEO) to increase visibility in search results.
Using data analytics, we build your Amazon page around relevant keywords with high conversion potential. We also design the catalog with enhanced visuals (A+ content) to help increase traffic to your page.
Before the products are shipped to an Amazon FBA warehouse or to a designated interim warehouse with our corporate logistics partners, we create your shipping plan in Amazon Seller Central, send you the warehouse barcodes to apply to product packaging and cartons, and stay in contact with you throughout the process.
Once the products are checked in to inventory, we run promotional product distribution (Amazon giveaway) on the keywords set during the product launch, helping move your listing to the front pages where it has a better chance of capturing organic sales and traffic. In parallel, we set up, optimize and manage campaigns in Amazon Ads (PPC ads) to support sales volume.
In the final stage, we monitor the product's performance metrics for a mutually agreed period and scope and take improvement actions when needed. We define this as an ongoing process of analyzing customer feedback, tracking sales data and making changes to the product, ad management or marketing strategy to improve performance.
What Are Amazon Seller Services and What Do They Cover?
Amazon seller services are professional support for manufacturers who want to start selling on Amazon, or to take a product they already sell into international marketplaces such as the U.S., Germany and the UK. In a well-run Amazon FBA service, the work is handled by one team, in the right order, rather than piece by piece:
- Company and account setup: a U.S. LLC or UK Ltd where needed, opening the seller account, identity and address verification, and bank and payment setup.
- Product and competitor analysis: which product can sell in which marketplace, how intense the competition is, the price range and the unit profit calculation.
- Trademark and Brand Registry: the trademark application and enrollment in Amazon's brand protection program; A+ content and the Brand Store become available with this enrollment.
- Listing and search visibility: preparing the title, bullet points, images and search keywords for Amazon's search system.
- FBA logistics: shipping plan, labeling, customs and tracking of check-in at the Amazon warehouse.
- Launch and PPC ad management: getting the first sales and reviews in a policy-compliant way and using the ad budget efficiently.
- Account health: policy monitoring, timely responses to warnings and, when needed, an appeal file.
How Are Amazon Service Fees Structured?
Three models are common in the market: a one-time setup and launch package, monthly account management, and hourly support for a specific issue only. The fee depends on the number of product groups, how many marketplaces you will sell in and which steps the service covers. At Export Partners, the scope of the Amazon service fee is set out in a written proposal; Amazon commissions, FBA fees and the ad budget are planned separately from the service fee.
An Amazon Service Company or an Individual Consultant?
An individual specialist may be enough to solve a single issue. When company formation, trademark, customs and FBA shipments run together, giving each step to a different person tends to split the file into pieces. That is why, when choosing among Amazon service companies, a sounder criterion is how many steps the service covers under one roof and whether the account is opened in your own name.
Amazon Frequently Asked Questions
The main cost items are the marketplace referral fee (usually between 8 and 15 percent depending on the category), the FBA fee (based on product size and weight), storage fees (monthly, with a separate charge for long-term inventory), the professional account subscription fee and shipping from your country to the warehouse. The advertising (PPC) budget is planned separately. Since exact figures vary by product and category, a cost table is prepared per product in the first meeting.
Opening an account as an individual may be technically possible, but regular commercial selling generally calls for a company in your home country or in the target country: purchase invoices, export invoices, tax matters and Amazon's tax reporting (Tax Interview) run through the company. Setting up a U.S. LLC or a UK Ltd is assessed separately based on sales volume and marketplace; see company formation in the U.S..
Amazon generally pays out the sales balance in 14-day cycles; it holds part of the balance in reserve for items such as FBA and advertising costs, and this period can be longer for new accounts. Payouts go to the bank account registered in Seller Central; a bank account in your country or an account with a payment provider can be used. Currency conversion and fees vary by payment method.
Yes, this model is FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant). Amazon applies strict standards for delivery times and shipment tracking; meeting them when shipping from abroad can be harder and may affect account health. In addition, the EU customs exemption for parcels under 150 euros ended on 1 July 2026, so for low-priced products FBM can raise the cost per parcel. For regular sales, FBA or an interim warehouse in the target country is usually the better fit.
An interim warehouse is a third-party warehouse in the target country where products are held in bulk and then shipped in smaller lots to the Amazon warehouse or directly to customers. It is used when Amazon applies FBA inventory limits, when the product needs FBA prep (labeling, bagging) or when returned items need to be collected. Feeding FBA through an interim warehouse, rather than sending every shipment directly to FBA, can reduce the number of international shipments.
PPC (pay per click) is Amazon's pay-per-click advertising system: Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display. Ads appear in search results and on product pages, and you pay only when someone clicks. On a new listing, PPC is usually the main source of sales until organic ranking builds up. For campaign types and bidding logic, see our Amazon PPC guide.
No. Amazon is not the buyer or the importer of the products you send to an FBA warehouse. The export invoice is issued to your own company in the destination country (if you have one) or to the importer of record (IOR) who handles customs clearance. For how this works in the U.S. and Canada, see U.S. and Canada customs service.
Amazon Brand Registry accepts trademarks registered with a number of national trademark offices, so a registration in your home country may be enough to enroll your brand. However, it does not give you trademark rights in the country where you sell; protection in the U.S. requires USPTO registration, in the UK UKIPO, and in the EU EUIPO. See Trademark registration in the U.S..
An EORI number is needed by anyone bringing goods into the EU. A VAT number is mandatory in the country where stock is held: if you use FBA in Germany, Amazon generally will not activate your listing without a German VAT number (USt-IdNr). When shipping directly to customers from outside the EU (FBM), Amazon collects VAT on sales under 150 euros and no number is required. Germany also requires LUCID packaging registration and a GPSR responsible person; the order of steps is in our Amazon Germany selling guide.
To build early sales and visibility on a new listing, Amazon's own tools are used: coupons, Lightning Deals, Prime exclusive discounts, the Vine program (Amazon's own channel for reviews) and PPC. Amazon prohibits giving products or payment in exchange for reviews, and listings that break this rule can be suspended. The launch plan is built within these limits; details are on the Amazon launch and advertising page.
In many countries, goods exported under a zero-rated invoice qualify for a VAT refund under the export exemption, which can be claimed from the tax authority through your accountant or offset against other tax liabilities. The process and documents are handled with your accountant; we make sure the export documents are prepared to support it.
Private label means selling a product made by a manufacturer under your own brand and packaging. It is popular on Amazon because you own your listing and set your own price, instead of competing for the Buy Box with other sellers offering the same product. Together with brand awareness and Brand Registry, it gives you full control over the listing. The steps are in our private label starter guide.
The fee is set by quote, based on the steps you choose and the number of marketplaces. The full package is priced together, and specific steps (for example trademark registration and listing) can also be purchased separately. Once the product and marketplace are clear, a written quote is prepared after the first meeting.
In private label, the product is customized for you: the formula, packaging, size and brand belong to you. In white label, the manufacturer supplies the same standard product to many brands and only the label changes. Building a distinctive Amazon listing is harder with white label, because the same product is also sold under other brands.
From product and supplier selection to the first FBA shipment being received at the warehouse, the timeline usually ranges from 3 to 5 months; it can take longer for products that require trademark registration or registrations such as FDA in the U.S. Three things drive the timeline: sample and production time, the shipping route (air or ocean), and completing registrations before shipment.
It is not required to sell, but it is required for Brand Registry. Without Brand Registry, you cannot use A+ content, a brand store or protection against others changing your listing. That is why the trademark application in a private label plan is started at the same time as production; Brand Registry can be opened with a pending application before registration is granted.
Four registrations: EORI (EU customs number; the import declaration in the EU is filed by an EU-established representative), a German VAT number (mandatory for FBA), LUCID packaging registration (with an authorized representative in Germany from August 12, 2026) and a GPSR responsible person (an EU address for consumer products). All are completed before the first shipment; the order and sources are in our Amazon Germany guide.
Because the United Kingdom is outside the EU, separate registrations are needed: UK VAT registration for sellers holding stock in the UK, a UK EORI for imports, and an importer to handle customs. Many sellers set up a UK Ltd company for this; formation, VAT and accounting are covered on the UK company formation page.
Creating the shipment plan in Seller Central, FNSKU labeling and prep rules, shipping from your country to the warehouse and customs coordination, warehouse check-in tracking, stock and reorder planning, and return and lost-inventory claims. It can be purchased together with account management, listing and PPC, or separately for the shipping side only. See our Amazon SPN verified team.
Three things are a good starting point: real stores and concrete examples the provider manages, realistic promises, and a service scope written into the contract. It is wiser to be cautious with offers that guarantee profit from the first month; results on Amazon depend on product selection, margin and advertising budget. It also matters that the seller account, brand and content are opened in your name, so the account stays with you even if you change partners. Export Partners is a verified service provider in Amazon's Service Provider Network.
It can be profitable, but it is not guaranteed. Three things determine profitability: the margin between the product's selling price and Amazon's referral fee, FBA fee and shipping cost; the level of competition; and advertising (PPC) costs in the first months. Because ad spend is high during launch, the first 2-3 months are often an investment period. That is why a unit profit calculation is done before starting; a product that cannot carry the margin is not launched.
Yes, FBA is available in many Amazon marketplaces, letting you send products to an Amazon warehouse and leave fulfillment to Amazon. Export Partners' service focuses on helping manufacturers expand into Amazon U.S., Germany and the UK; FBA shipping, customs and warehouse check-in are planned for these three marketplaces.
Your budget depends on the category and the product, so a single figure would be misleading. The cost items are roughly the same for everyone: production and packaging, initial inventory, freight and customs to the Amazon warehouse, FBA and storage fees, trademark registration, the professional account fee and an advertising budget for the first 3 months. Our service fee is separate and is quoted based on scope. In the first call, we put these items into a single table for your product.
Start by reading the reason Amazon gives. The Account Health page in Seller Central shows which policy was violated and which documents are requested. Then submit an appeal with a Plan of Action that explains the root cause, the corrective steps taken and the measures that will prevent it from happening again, along with supporting documents such as invoices or certificates. Appeals without documents or written in general terms are often rejected, so each response is prepared for the specific reason.
We can also offer this as a package
Amazon account management can be purchased on its own. If you also need product compliance, FDA registration and customs support, everything can be combined in one package.
